It has been there since the time of Florence Capital but a complete restoration, it had never had it. Thus, even the bronze copy of Michelangelo’s David, was subjected to structural, cleaning and consolidation intervention, which lasted a total of about six months. For this universal symbol of art, but also an emblem of Florence, we have witnessed a spectacular restoration, like the panorama that can be admired from the Piazzale itself. The intervention was realized thanks to the agreement between the Municipality and the Florentine maison Salvatore Ferragamo through Art Bonus. The entire set-up was instead curated by Cooperativa Archeologia and executed by Media Firenze Group.
